Only a few departments have funding to offer grants or stipends to master's students. The Office of Financial Aid offers no aid besides loan borrowing and cannot adjust your current financial aid award. If you wish to appeal your departmental funding (grant, scholarship or stipend) or have special financial circumstances, we suggest contacting your program directly.
If you require additional loan funding but currently do not have any remaining loan eligibility, you should review your actual education expenses outside of your tuition/fees and compare them to our estimates on the Financing Worksheet used for your program. If you can submit proof that your expenses exceed our estimates you can undergo an "appeal" to request our use of your costs vs. our estimates. Proof of higher costs, such as your rent/lease agreement, utility bills, computer purchase, etc. can be submitted for review to undergo the appeal.
